Gulf Power Company and its employees have a strong history of supporting the communities we live in. Each year our employee-driven Gulf Power Transformers, a 501(c) 3 organization, contributes donations and volunteer hours to aid the many charitable and community projects throughout Northwest Florida.

Gulf Power employees, retirees and family members - even the four-legged members - put their heart into the community participating in the American Heart Association's Start! HeartWalk in Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach and Panama City.

United Way

United Way

Gulf Power contributes to the various United Way agencies throughout its service area. In 2010 the company and its employees contributed more than $412,969 to United Way. Employees also volunteer their hard work at the annual United Way "Day of Caring."

Community Caring at Christmas

Communities Caring at Christmas

Each Christmas, Gulf Power employees in Escambia County take part in "Communities Caring at Christmas." This project provides Christmas for families that otherwise would not have one. In 2010, employees donated a truckload of gifts including 170 bicycles.

Ronald McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House

This year, Gulf Power also partnered with the Ronald McDonald House in its Kaps for Kids program, raising $11,727 for families of children with serious illnesses.

American Cancer Society

American Cancer Society

Employees throughout Gulf Power's service area participated in several of the American Cancer Society's "Relays for Life." More than 200 employees took part in this year's Relays and contributed more than $4,000 to the project.

The Salvation Army

Salvation Army

In Fort Walton Beach, Niceville, Crestview and Walton County, Gulf Power employees support a number of organizations, ranging from the Coalition for the Homeless to the Hope House. Employees raised more than $8,000 in 2006.

Council on Aging

Council on Aging

In Panama City, employees teamed up with the Council on Aging during Christmas. Employee's purchased gifts from a "wish list", wrapped them, and in some cases even delivered them to the person on their list. Gifts that were purchased but not delivered to the recipient were taken to the Council on Aging and delivered by the Council.

Project SHARE

Provides emergency assistance to our neighbors who need help with energy bills and other energy-related needs. The program assists the elderly, the disabled, the sick and others who are experiencing financial hardship

To further deserving causes in education, Gulf Power Foundation offers educational grants to Educational Foundations in each county. The grants offers a number of benefits aimed at building knowledge and enhancing the quality of life and the economic well-being of our local communities.
