Wash Tub Laundry runs hot, cold and costs less

Coin laundry customers want the best of both extremes: They want really hot water for their laundry while enjoying a cool, comfortable facility. Providing these contradictory needs gets expensive. Wash Tub coin laundry asked us for a more economical solution. We suggested the new heat pump water heaters. By using waste heat from air conditioning to heat water, heat pump water heaters save Wash Tub thousands of dollars each year, keep their customers cool, and keep everyone in hot water.

Gulf Power showed Mosley High School how using energy-efficient lighting could save money. With new fixtures, lower wattage lamps and electronic ballasts, Mosley actually brightened classrooms and lowered lighting costs 30% to 40%. Dunes Hotel turns hot air into cold cash

"If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen," and employees at the Pensacola Beach Dunes Hotel were doing just that. They were driven away by heat & humidity in the dishwashing and laundry areas, with temperatures of 100+ degrees reducing productivity, and crashing phone and computer equipment. For five years, the Dunes Hotel paid in time, money, turnover, and frustration. Then, they attended an energy seminar hosted by Gulf Power and discovered heat pump water heaters. Now they're cool, the water's hot, the utility bill's low, and employees are asking for transfers to the area. And, their total annual savings topped $6,000.

We're Cooking With Electricity.

Since Ricky Murphy has been cooking with total electric equipment, only the food in the kitchen is hot. Murphy has installed all electric equipment in one of his four Savannah area McDonald's restaurants and is keeping the kitchen cool.

It's cool to eat at the Tiger Time Diner (even if you're not an Auburn fan).

The Tiger Time Diner has a lot of fans but when an overheated kitchen made the dining room uncomfortable, the restaurant started losing loyal customers. The restaurant was also serving hundreds of hungry football fans daily and running out of hot water. Now, Tiger Time Diner's owners and customers are cheering about electric heat pump water heaters.

Taking the Heat Out of the Kitchen

Here's a story about two different types of food service businesses with one thing in common: Induction Cooking. Chef Maxwell's Catering Company often serves visiting dignitaries right at their offices. Fresh Choice Restaurants, a casual all-you-can-eat restaurant, operates a traditional kitchen. Both believe induction cooking is a better, lower-cost and more consistent source of heat.

Healthy savings though lower operation and maintenance costs

North Central Bronx Hospital uses UVGI units to reduce TB transmission rates. By destroying airborne pathogens, UVGI minimizes the spread of infectious particles from the bronchoscopy operating room. Because the UVGI units are cost-effective to purchase and maintain, they add a level of protection in the bronchoscopy room and other areas where alternative control technologies would be difficult or prohibitively expensive.

Low-cost solution is quiet, efficient & effective

Cabrini Medical Center's new UVGI system helps protect the patients and employees from transmission of infectious diseases such as tuberculosis. A primary concern was the Stuyvesant Polyclinic, a designated AIDS center that provides its outpatient HIV services. Some of the clinic's patients are immunocompromised and at increased risk for TB infection. When they recently saw a sharp rise in the incidence of tuberculosis (TB) in a segment of its patient population, it enacted additional preventive measures.  The solution was a low-cost, quiet and energy-efficient system.

Ozonated laundering cuts expenses and cleans better.

Like most nursing homes, Magnolia Manor has to provide a small mountain of clean linen and towels each week to service the needs of its residents. Magnolia Manor does its laundering on-site, which is much less costly than using a laundry service. However, Magnolia Manor management still thought they were spending too much on detergents, cleaning chemicals, water and sewer services, water heating, and other laundry operating expenses. Was there a way to reduce laundering expenses but maintain the same cleaning quality? We showed them how. In fact, we helped them save significantly on laundry expenses and actually improve cleaning quality.
