By choosing ENERGY STAR® appliances and fluorescent or compact fluorescent (CFL) lighting, EarthCents homeowners can save on their utility bills each and every month.

• At least 25% of all hard-wired fixtures use fluorescent, compact fluorescent or other high-efficiency bulbs
• The dishwasher and at least two other appliances or ceiling fans are ENERGY STAR certified
