Participation Standards

  1. Offer is available to Gulf Power business customers only.
  2. Application must be made within 60 days of installation.
  3. All diagnostic services must be provided by a CheckMe!® Plus Certified Technician of a Participating Contractor and must be completed during the effective dates of the program.
  4. Qualifying products must be new, operational, and must be purchased and installed after June 1, 2011.
  5. Incentive of $150 per ton of cooling capacity will be paid for air source A/C or heat pump according to the following:
    • ≤ 65,000 BTU/h must be minimum 15 SEER
    • > 65,000 and ≤ 135,000 BTU/h must be minimum 12 EER
    • > 135,000 BTU/h must be minimum 11 EER
    • Packaged terminal A/C or heat pump through wall units:
      • ≤ 12,000 BTU/h must be minimum 12 EER
      • > 12,000 BTU/h must be minimum 11 EER
  6. Incentive of $500 per ton will be paid for closed loop geothermal heat pump units with minimum 14 EER at 86° (ARI/IS0-13256-1 application) entering water temperature and a nominal water flow of 3.0 gallons/minute/ton.
  7. Incentive of $250 per ton will be paid for hybrid geothermal heat pump units with minimum 14 EER at 86° (ARI/IS0-13256-1 application) entering water temperature and a nominal water flow of 3.0 gallons/minute/ton.
  8. Prior to payment of incentive, the following conditions must be met:
    • Completed incentive application
    • Documentation of proof of product qualifications (including manufacturer and the appropriate efficiency specifications of products)
    • Sales receipt documentation including date of installation
    • Installation must pass Gulf Power's verification process
  9. Neither the payment of an incentive, nor any inspection by Gulf Power shall be deemed as guaranty or warranty.
  • Insulation - $0.15 per sq. ft. for additional ceiling insulation in existing buildings
  • Heating & cooling occupancy sensors - $75 for automatic temperature controls in hotel rooms>
